The CIMI-Owned Sony SH800S Cell Sorter is located in the Veterinary Academic Building on the third floor in V3-214. Please reach out to taylor.steiner@ufl.edu for help accessing the building and for permission to use the machine.

Hourly Rate
Members contributing IDCs above the $1000 threshold will have free access to this piece of equipment.
Members not contributing IDCs or non-members are subject to our competitive hourly rate:
- $70/hr
ALL users of the Sony Cell Sorter are subject to a consumable fee for the chip(s) one may use during their experiment (Sony Sorting Chip – 100um). More than one experiment may be run with one chip back-to-back, so coordination with lab members is highly recommended.
- $60/chip
Hours of Operation
Access to this machine is welcome during business hours. Arrangements may be made with the equipment managers for special circumstances.
